This is our take on the classic pecan pie, made with hazelnuts in place of pecans, a nod to the hazelnuts of Piemonte. A rich custard of browned butter, Frangelico, and honey bakes into our flaky, all-butter pie crust. The pie is finished with a crown of candied hazelnuts. It's nutty, caramel-sweet, and a little toasty, and it's made for the holiday table.

Serve it at room temperature with a dollop of lightly sweetened whipped cream.
